Linking K-12 Global Education Efforts with
NC Economic Development Priorities

The Center for International Understanding submitted two legislative reports about its North Carolina in the World initiative to the North Carolina General Assembly in March of 2007. Both reports offer updates on the four-year-old international education movement to improve student knowledge and skills about the world. The focus of Report I is the relationship between global competencies and a prepared workforce for the 21st Century. Report II provides a detailed summary of North Carolina in the World activities and accomplishments to date.
